Is Happy Days Campground pet-friendly?
We love our four-legged campers! We are a pet-friendly park, provided your pets are good neighbors. To ensure everyone has a relaxing stay, we ask that you follow these common rules:
Keep it Close: Dogs must be kept on a tether or leash at all times when outside your camper or tent.
Pets should never be left unattended at your campsite. If you’re heading out for the day, your pup should head out with you!
Quiet & Courteous: We ask that pets do not constitute a nuisance (such as excessive barking) to your fellow campers.
Clean Up: Please pick up after your pet immediately.
What time is check-in and check-out?
We look forward to seeing you! To ensure we have enough time to get every site ready for your stay, please note our times:
Check-in: Starts at 2:00 PM
Check-out: By 12:00 PM
If you’re arriving after the camp store has closed for the evening, please let us know ahead of time so we can make arrangements for your late arrival.
When is Quiet Time?
Quiet hours are from 11pm to 8am.
All radios and any amplified music must be turned off during this time. Conversations should also be kept low.
We do make regular patrols of the campground, but If you are being disturbed by noise from another campsite, please call the campground and let us know. (845)685-6575
What is the cancellation policy?
We understand that life happens! To keep our small campground running smoothly, we have the following policy in place:
Service Fee: There is a $10.00 service fee on all cancelled reservations.
14-Day Window: We are unable to offer refunds for cancellations made within 14 days of your scheduled arrival.
Early Departure & Weather: No refunds are provided for early departures or inclement weather. Camping is an outdoor adventure, rain or shine!
We are happy to offer a credit for a future stay in the 2026 season. Please reach out to us as soon as your plans change so we can help you find a new date to visit!
Do RV sites have “full hookups”?
All RV sites include 30-amp electrical power and clean drinking water hookups.
Currently Site B5 is the only site that also includes an in-ground sewer connection.
For all other RV sites, a complimentary dump station is available on-site for registered guests to empty grey and black water tanks during their stay or upon departure.
Can I drink the water in the campground?
Yes! All water throughout the campground is potable and safe for drinking, cooking, and filling your tanks. Our water system uses a professional chlorination process and is strictly monitored monthly by the Department of Health to ensure it meets the current safety standards.
Is there a swimming pool or a lake on-site?
We do not have a swimming pool or a dedicated water feature for swimming at the campground. However, a small creek runs alongside the playground area. While it isn’t suitable for swimming or fishing, it is a lovely spot to sit, listen to the water, or take a peaceful walk along its bank.
If you’re looking to make a splash, there are many beautiful lakes nearby for swimming, boating, and fishing. Just ask us at the camp store for our favorite local spots!
Do the sites have campfire rings?
Yes! All of our campsites feature stone-ring fire pits. Please note that we do not provide metal grills or grates on the fire pits. However, you are welcome to rearrange the stones to safely secure your own grill or grate for some open-fire cooking.
Do you sell wood or should we bring our own?
To protect our trees from invasive species, we ask that you do not bring outside firewood into the campground. We have plenty of seasoned wood available for purchase at the camp store.
It is illegal to bring firewood from outside of New York State.
Do you offer a shuttle to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts?
We do not offer a shuttle service from the campground. However, getting to the show is still easy! There are several local taxi and ride-share services that frequently pick up and drop off right here at Happy Days.
We recommend booking your transportation in advance on concert nights, as local services tend to fill up quickly!
Do I need quarters for the shower?
No. Our hot showers are complimentary for all registered guests. You can save the quarters for the pool table!
What is the Wi-Fi and cellular service situation?
We find that most guests enjoy “unplugging” here, but we know staying connected is important! Here is the breakdown:
Wi-Fi: We offer Free Wi-Fi in the Rec Hall. It’s the perfect spot to check your email or plan your next day’s adventure.
Cellular Service: Signal strength varies by carrier. In our experience, Verizon and AT&T provide reliable service throughout most of the campground. T-Mobile users generally have good service near the entrance but may encounter a few dead zones in the deeper, more wooded parts of the property.
